"March 2003 - THERMALTAKE TECHNOLOGY INCORPORATION - With the official release of AMD´s latest microprocessor Opteron nearing, Thermaltake today announced the finalized thermal solution for this next generation processor.
Venus 8 Series thermal solution will be available in three different combinations to accommodate different criteria. As future´s microprocessors get faster and faster, proper thermal management and solution plays a very critical role in ensuring proper operation. All of the solutions released today feature all copper heat sink design with most advanced Cu-Cu Soldering Technology to maximize thermal conductivity and minimize heat sink´s overall weight.
Thermal Controlled Fan unit
Both P/N A1770 & A1772 is outfitted with a 70xy70x15mm Thermal Controlled Fan unit. Thermal Controlled Fan is designed to operate at 3050 RPM at temperature of 32°C and 6000 RPM at 42°C. Thermaltake is world´s first manufacture to include this feature onto CPU coolers. P/N A1770 will include AMD Recommended R.M. (Retention Module) as well as the heat sink cooler, while A1772 will only include heat sink cooler.
Venus 8 is specified to feature 70x70x15mm fan without the Thermal Controlled Fan unit. AMD Recommended R.M. will also be included with the Venus 8.
